Recorded live with the Philharmonic Orchestra in 1975. This spectacular 94 minute concert was recorded live with the Melbourne Philharmonic Orchestra in 1975, at the Sydney Myer Concert Bowl in Melbourne, Australia. This mammoth sell-out concert to tens of thousands was at the end of the 'Journey tour' to promote Rick's platinum selling album 'Journey To The Centre Of The Earth'. The concert opens with the greatest hits from Rick's biggest selling album 'The Six Wives Of Henry VIII', followed by the complete 'Journey' and also includes hits from his then, new album, 'King Arthur and the Knights Of The Round Table'. This is a classic Rick Wakeman, one of the world's finest keyboard players, at the very pinnacle of his legendary progressive rock career.
There was just three performances of King Arthur on Ice and it was crucified by the media even before the opening night! However, ticket sales were unprecedented. This was regarded as a high point for Rick in his career and still speaks highly of it even today. Thanks to people like Tony Burdfield at A&M Records, the band itself, the conductor David Measham and the English Chamber Choir and the foresight of Alan Tentob, who filmed much of the show for the BBC, the memory still lives on. Presented here in its original aspect ratio of the day, 4:3. The set list is as follows : Free Song - The Battle - Catherine Howard - Anne Boleyn -

Composer and pianist Franz Liszt (Roger Daltrey) attempts to overcome his hedonistic life-style while repeatedly being drawn back into it by the many women in his life and fellow composer Richard Wagner (Paul Nicholas). A send-up of the bawdy life of Romantic composer and piano virtuoso Franz Liszt, with ubiquitous phallic imagery and a good portion of the movie devoted to Liszt's "friendship" with fellow composer Richard Wagner. This movie begins during the time when Franz would give piano performance to a crowd of shrieking teenage fans while maintaining affairs with his mistresses. He eventually seeks Princess Carolyn of St. Petersburg (Sara Kestelman) (at her invitation), elopes, and, after their marriage is forbidden by the Pope (Sir Ringo Starr), he embraces the monastic life as an abbé.
This was a very interesting film, as the show was recorded at the Maltings in Farnham in the early evening and was actually broadcast the same evening, around 11pm. There is very little on the film that includes the brass section of Reg Brooks and the late Martin Shields and so it was a time when the ERE was going through quite a metamorphism with a new guitar player as well, John 'Dusty' Dunsterville who was a very funny guy in many respects and his rendition of the Johnny Cash classic 'I Walk the Line' was a regular occurrence on stage and indeed appears towards the end of this concert too! Seen here in its aspect ratio of the day, in 4:3. The set list is as follows : Journey Medley - Journey Overture - The Hansbach - The Realisation - Lancelot & the Black Knight - The Spaceman - Catherine Parr - The Prisoner - Merlin the Magician.

In 2005 in a studio far, far away, (Norfolk), an elderly musician would broadcast and stream “Rick’s Plaice” to the world on Saturday Morning. Nobody really knew who he was, but a select few believed him to be the alter ego “Hands Solo” named after his exploits on the Mini Moog. Fraught with danger, he was constantly under attack from the owners of the planet known as “ROCK” for flying too close to the surface of decency and in 2010 was eventually banished to the galaxy known as “Grumpy” where, for the last 10 years, he has secretly plotted a return to the airwaves and now the time has come… Rick says “I can’t wait for the first series of the new ‘Rick’s Plaice’ to be shown as it will be a nice guideline for me for the second series as to how much weight I need to lose. And if you have as much fun watching the shows with all of the live music performances, guided tours around my equipment, facts about musicians I have worked with, and even a quiz, then you will have enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed making them…which I have to say was most enjoyable. In this first episode we establish ourselves to meet Rick in his new dwelling, and in turn there's a nice tribute to Robert Arthur Moog, a charity feature for the Children of Chernobyl and a nice live rendition of the track 'Seahorses'

This the first time the Phantom of the Opera with the Rick Wakeman Soundtrack has been released on VOD (download). This is the full conceptual soundtrack by Rick to one of the classics of American cinema.
The film, The Phantom of the Opera is a 1925 American silent horror film adaptation of Gaston Leroux's 1910 novel Le Fantôme de l'Opéra, directed by Rupert Julian and starring Lon Chaney, Sr. in the title role of the deformed Phantom who haunts the Paris Opera House, causing murder and mayhem to make the woman he "loves" a star.
The film remains most famous for Chaney's ghastly, self-devised make-up, which was kept a studio secret until the film's premiere. The film was released on November 25, 1925. The print of the film has been fully restored using the latest 21st-century technology and the long lost Ballroom scene has been reinserted into the film in its rightful place.
In Spring 2009, the 500th anniversary of Henry VIII's accession to the throne, Rick Wakeman finally fulfilled a long held dream to perform his famous album 'The Six Wives Of Henry VIII' at Hampton Court Palace. It was the first time he had ever performed the album in its entirety. Joining Rick for the performance were the English Rock Ensemble, the Orchestra Europa conducted by Guy Protheroe, the English Chamber Choir and narrator Brian Blessed. The show made the most of its stunning setting with spectacular lighting and staging. Only two never to be repeated performances were possible and this film perfectly captures this once in a lifetime event. The set list is as follows : Henrys Fanfare - Tudorture 1485 - Catherine Of Aragone - Kathryn Howard - Jane's Prelude - Jane Seymour - Defender Of The Faith - Katherine Parr - Anne Of Cleeves - Anne Boleyn - Tudorock - Tudorture 1485.
